leapaul Posted March 11, 2005 CID Share Posted March 11, 2005 Right now i have my server hooked up to a router and the router to a modem(dcm-202). to get the strongset signal, i plugged the modem straight into the cable amp/aplitter we have in our house. i'm not sure if im satisfied with these speeeds and was wondering if there is any way to increase them, especially the upload speed. Usually when i go to a site like downloads.com and download a random file it downloads at about 430-500 kb/s. I also applied Van Burens 4000/384 tweak for cablenut. :::.. REV0LUTI0NIZED Posted March 11, 2005 CID Share Posted March 11, 2005 It's all up to you, if you wan't to upgrade your speed Comcast has the premier package which i think is the 6000/768. I don't know how much it cost but I think it's not that expensive. Anyways is there any other reason why you want to upgrade Welcome To The Forum
leapaul Posted March 11, 2005 Author CID Share Posted March 11, 2005 i've noticed sometimes when im loading one of my sites off another computer..(at school..friends house..etc.)..during the busier hoursd of the day, it dosent' load as quick as i would like it too..but i seem to criticizer my own server when other ppl dont' see much of a difference..lol..and btw the 6000/768 is an extra 10$ a month, that is one of the main reasons im looking into this thanks
