Ross Herbert Posted July 30, 2016 CID Share Posted July 30, 2016 After running TCP Optimizer on my broadband cable internet connection then running a download speed test the improvement is dramatic. It goes from around 10Mbps up better than 100Mbps and WOW, is it fast! BUT, this only lasts for about 5 minutes maximum before reverting to its old speed. My system runs Windows 7 Pro and the network adapter is a Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet card. A speed result graph shows the wonderful improvement I get immediately after running TCP Optimizer. I would love to be able to find out what is being reset either by Windows or something else - any suggestions welcome.
