i have another wireless tip for you all.

to increas your range by as much as 50% you can put a pairabolic reflector behind the router to forced the signal another way. To make the refelctor get a peace of sheet metal roughtly 12x16 and creat a curve around your router then focus it in a corrent direction to raidiate a specific section. i have 2 pictures below to that show you what you want to do and what you don't want to do

should be noted in the 2nd picture you've got lines going THROUGH the shield, that would not happen, and in your drawn case scenario part of the room would be in effect cut off from wireless signal, although you can easily modify the shield to work with any size and shape room.
