Slow download speeds.

My download speeds weren't ever close enough to my host for my tastes but they've hit an all time low.

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Connection is:: 364 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB)

Download Speed is:: 44 kB/s

Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/

Test Time:: Fri Apr 08 2005 19:44:48 GMT-0700 (US Mountain Standard Time)

Bottom Line:: 7X faster than 56K 1MB download in 23.27 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 17.16 % of your hosts average (cableaz.net)

I was averaging about 75 kB/s before the slow down.

Ran virus check, spywrare check, adware and the computer is clean. I also ran CC cleaner .

I took my firewall down when making the test as well. Windows updates are current as well.

I also attempted to use Cablenut with VanBuren's registry #6 but I had no clue what registry to use.

The cable company I am using is: http://www.cableamerica.com/sys.wick.html

I'm at my wit's end and I don't profess to be knowledgeable about the subject at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

keep these settings until the retransmissions ends

RTT min (last):        87.7 ms

RTT max (last):        161.2 ms

RTT avg (last):        123.6 ms

this is very unstable ping, try changing the cable between your modem and PC

also make a pathping

start-run-cmd

type pathping testmy.net and hit enter

wait several minutes for it to complete, when done rightclick choose all and hit enter

now paste all in a new post

Not sure what you want me to do there but I did run the pathping.
