cablenut settings

i just downloaded cablenut...before i install it and try to set it up myself does anyone have any suggestions on how to "configure" it? ...i guess you might call it that..

What kinds of speeds are you geting now? Whats the advertised speed of  your service? If your getting 80 to 90 percent of whats advertised thats as fast as your gonna go. Short note generally speaking xp is pretty tweaked out for dsl. Messing with them could make things worse.

i was about to use that for my speakeasy dsl but i dunno if i should.  my advertised speed is 768/6.0 and i get around 650/5200 do you think i should try to mess with it.

Id leave it alone. You can drive your self crazy trying to tweaking it. Been there done that. Your close to your advertised speeds. Like I said xp is pretty tweaked for dsl. If you still want to tweak it back up your registry first. Best of luck.

i'm gonna leave it alone till fiber is in my area.  fios is not here yet but in some parts of long islang where i am so i will get that soon but for now i guess this best i can get cause cable sucks in my area.  i have 2 lines now that i will get rid of when i get fios whick is sdsl 1.5/1.5 by covad and 768/6.0 by speakeasy. 

does fios limit bandwidth for hosting ?

in my area my provider said that instead of getting slow speeds, from may 13th on out we are supposed to be getting at least advertised speeds. also we may get faster than advertised speeds some of the time

thats cool but this is whats in my area cause cable caps you bad for hosting so sdsl is for my hosting and adsl is for my comps.  i have 8 comps 1 server and 7 xboxes on my network.
