undesiredprophet Posted June 12, 2005 CID Share Posted June 12, 2005 Hi, Im in a bit of a jam when trying to go out to the internet. Ive been having a problem with my internet connection since the beginning of April. Let me tell you what happens... When I get on the computer the internet seems sluggish, almost like its holding back something which leads me to believe something is wrong with my comcast cable modem (I have a Terayon TJ615 modem and an SMC EZ Card PCI 10 Adapter...if this helps). When I play online games on my computer, they never work because of my Packet Loss (never had this problem before April). When i did a network diagnostics test from Windows XP it says under my IP address Sent:4 Recieved:3 Lost:1 (Loss: %25) I tried fixing my internet through different methods: unplugging my power cable and disconnecting the internet cable from the wall (leaving it like this for hours; still no help), using a different internet cable to plug into my modem, using a different ethernet wire, hooking up my router, and seeing if my network adapter was scratched (couldn't be a problem with the network adapter anyways because it worked before April). I have also noticed on my modem, when the internet shuts off, the Online LED and the Line LED blinks non-stop, then all of the LEDs blink and who knows when they become solid again. Ive kept a log of when I can use the internet, hope this helps. :::..
