Wireless Network Woes

Recommended Posts

I recently got my computer functioning after a long, hard battle. I had one day of fine internet connectivity. After that, I got "Little or no connectivity" messages. I have a generic wireless USB adapter. When I tried to "repair", I got alternating messages that I couldn't connect to the network or I couldn't renew my IP address. Switching to a static IP address has me connecting perfectly to the network, according to windows network manager, but I stil have no internet connectivity. My grandmother's laptop is able to access the network just fine. Even plugging the ethernet cable  directly into my kingston card gives me the "little or no connectivity" status.
