ok last week i just got my new computer

A HP Pavilion a1007w

AMD Athlon 64 3200

512 Ram

120 gig HD

i have no clue what the motherboard is or anything else about it

Windows Xp home w/ sp 2

and i also got the SBC Yahoo DSL (i got screwed outa cable by old folk) and it came with this Modem/router/wireless all in one a 2wire HomePortal 1800HG i think

the speed advertised said 384 - 1500 kbps the upload i think was 384

i have no tweak programs and i dont know what kind of firewalls these are

when i look in the home portal summary screen it says im only getting 512 Kbps and ive noticed whenever i download a file even from a server thats not very far away i only get 40 - 50 kb/ a sec

my computer has a firewall and the router has one also im wondering if thats hindering my performance or somthin so anything you can tell me would be a great help i hate bein this slow

you should only need Client for Microsoft networks and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), leave them checked and the other unchecked.

I dont know what Aegis Protocol (IEE 802.1x) v2.3.1.9 is. but if you need it for some application, then leave it checked aswell.

VanBuren :)
