Emilia Posted July 5, 2005 CID Share Posted July 5, 2005 Hey there. All right, well recently I upgraded my SBC Yahoo DSL package from the slowest one 380-something Kbps to the DSL Pro which is supposed to give you up to 3 Mbps. Well, I've noticed that my download speed has drastically gone down. Before it used to be in the 20-30 kB/s range and now I can't even get it higher than 10 kB/s!! I'm so frustrated. Any help is appreciated Your connection is: 2530 Kbps (about 2.5 Mbps) You downloaded at: 309 kB/s Your TRuSPEED: ^info^ 2707 Kbps :: 331 kB/s (7% overhead factored) Bottom Line: You are running: 45 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 3.31 second(s) Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 44.41 % faster than the average for host (swbell.net)

Emilia Posted July 5, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 5, 2005 Thanks for the welcome I get >10 kB/s when I actually download something (not when performing a test. When performing a test it says that I'm fine and stuff). This is so frustrating! When I had the slower DSL (before I upgraded) the downloads would peak at 20-30 kB/s and now they're completely screwed up (even though it's supposed to be FASTER?) I hate the internets... Does this help at all? / 1. Hope that didn't confuse anyone...

Emilia Posted July 5, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 5, 2005 The downloads are great now since I followed some of the tweak tips. I'm currently getting 300+ kb/s per download so i'm very happy Thank you for replying to my thread <
