hoodlegend Posted July 20, 2005 CID Share Posted July 20, 2005 I'm on Wide Open West, and I think they've increased the upload speeds. There's talk about it, but no official word, so I don't know exactly what my advertised upload speed is. I'm guessing it's 6000/700 based on my speed test results. The upload results are good, but the download speeds suck. I tried the settings update file 7, but it made it slower. :::.. VanBuren Posted July 20, 2005 CID Share Posted July 20, 2005 my guess is a problem with modem/router try bypass your router and connect direct to modem via ethernet also run a linequality test at http://www.dslreports.com/tools "Line Packet Loss Testing Packet loss tests on your line, including identification of any problem routers en-route to you.." hoodlegend Posted July 20, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 20, 2005 I don't have a router. http://www.dslreports.com/quality/nil/1796763
VanBuren Posted July 20, 2005 CID Share Posted July 20, 2005 might be a problem in the route, try these mirrors aswell https://testmy.net/mirrors.php and use the largest testfiles Edit: also make sure your pingable during linequality test VanBuren
