goda Posted August 5, 2005 CID Share Posted August 5, 2005 Hi, Before tweaking my download speed connection with cablenut I only achieved 26% of the adverised download speed by my ISP (sympatico.ca), and my upload speed is fine even better then my ISP's average speed. However after I tweaked the speed with cablenut, in order to try to increase my download speed. I only got 35% of the advertised download sped by my ISP. I also followed few of the guides here on the fourm. Any help greatly appreciated. VanBuren Posted August 5, 2005 CID Share Posted August 5, 2005 try bypassing that router, connect your PC direct to modem and make a new tweaktest this is what i found in that test RTT min: 51.4 ms RTT max: 861.1 ms RTT avg: 251.0 ms my guess is that you have a huge problem with router or your modem loosing sync VanBuren
goda Posted August 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted August 12, 2005 I tried by passing the router, and connecting directly through the router, but it seems that made my dl speed even worse. Right now I'm getting around 950 kbps dl speed (with the router), even though the advertised speed is 3000kbps.
