resopalrabotnick Posted August 26, 2005 CID Share Posted August 26, 2005 You may have been downgraded to allow more people on your block get DSL just to clear up the facts, in case you consider them, dsl is distributed from the DSLAM (dsl access multiplexer) at your telco's local switch. the signal from the dslam, which btw has one port for every customer, is placed in the high freq band of your phoneline. hence: one port dslam to one phoneline = downgrade to allow more people to get dsl complete bullshit. not to mention breach of contract, which would resuilt in a lot of very expensive lewgal bullshit for the telco.
