If you need any more info please let me know. Also, I tried to use Van Buren's Cablenut settings but there are so many to pick from that I don't know which one is right for my Internet. I'm on Windows XP and umm, my ISP is Verizon DSL. Thanks in advance.

VanBuren Posted August 14, 2005 CID Share Posted August 14, 2005 try powercycle the modem/router, leave it off 30 full seconds i think your capped at 768/128 cos your ping goes skyhigh during test RTT min: 21.1 ms RTT max: 575.2 ms RTT avg: 290.2 ms however, here is a attached cablenut file, try that aswell VanBuren
al244 Posted August 14, 2005 Author CID Share Posted August 14, 2005 Oh no what if I am capped? I didn't even know Verizon had that low speed plan. I though the cheapeast was the 1.5 Mbps. This guy said in another forum that Verizon was probably limiting my bandwidth because I leave my modem on 24/7. Am I supposed to turn it off? Oh well this speed sucks. I need to get my mom to buy me something faster. It's just she doesn't know what she's doing, so I have to call Verizon to cancel the DSL, and when you're about to cancel something they always have to ask you why. Then they recommend customer service and annoy me when I just want to cancel it! But I don't like talking to strangers on the phone I stutter sometimes. VanBuren, thanks for trying though. There was a nice improvement, but it's still a piece of crap! :::..
