Curveball1221 Posted November 5, 2005 CID Share Posted November 5, 2005 When I'm hosting a game of Halo 1 over XBC my host tends to have a glitch about every 2 seconds. Between the glitches my host is about as good as you can get but it's very annoying to know that it could still be better. Here is some stats for my connection. Using vanburnen's cablenut settings for 8-768 Taken at 11 Am here's a speed test... :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 6224 Kbps about 6.2 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 760 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2) Test Time:: Sat Nov 05 2005 11:00:13 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 111X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.35 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 40.09 % faster than the average for host (comcast.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-1YS7Z2Q3H :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 732 Kbps about 0.7 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Speed is:: 89 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Sat Nov 05 2005 11:01:04 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 13X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 11.51 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 110.34 % faster than the average for host (comcast.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-9SAZBJ4NE I'm assuming my download is just due to network congestion but the lag is probably from my upload. My router is the linksys wrt54gx v2 and I'm running a cable right to the xbox. My wireless internet and firewalls are diabled when I am playing. Any suggestions woudl be appreciated.
