Here's a warning for those looking to jump to NBN soon. We had Optus cable internet, with a consistent 20-35Mbps down, even during the peak. Our first week of Optus NBN has been a massive let down. Despite paying for the 50Mbps plan, we're lucky to get 3 or 4Mbps during the peak, and drop as low as 1.5Mbps. All Optus can tell me is that the exchange doesn't yet have enough capacity, but "they're working on it". So if you're currently on cable, I'd say hang on as long as you can!
