If you have the buisness plan thats about 1,000 Kbps Download Threshold (MB) 500 Recovery Rate (Kbps) 56 That package is supposed to download @ about 1.3Mbps = something is wrong. If you was on the home plan your connection would be about right on. If you can....go with cable or a good dsl....dish sucks

DAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!!!! When I lived in the high desert in southern california, dish internet was the only option besides dial up. I never got it cause it was something like $600 installed and a little over $100 a month. Right now I pay $18.00 for this connection. It was supposed to be $9.99 for the first 3 months for the 4 Mbs, but the guy that took my order used to live near me and droped it to $7.99 then I pay $10.00 for the upgrade to 6Mbs totaling round $18.00.....normal price is $55.00 for the 6Mbs, but after the 3 months I will be paying only $40.00 a month for the next 16 months, because Comcast credited my account $400.00 for switching from Direct TV to Cable. I said ...just wipe out my bill till the credit runs out...they said it don't work like that...pft.....So...they will take a little off my TV and broadband for 16 months......oh well still works for me. :::.. I have heard from some people before that with some isp's you can trade some download for more upload capabilities. I have the 6 Mbs conection with comcast and woudld gladly trade a Mbs to the upload side of it all. Too lazy to call them so i'll ask y'all. I had Bellsouth for a year...had their dsl light package...paid 35 bucks a month for it...got 30 kbs down and 10 kbs up........now i got cable.......i pay 10 bucks more a month.......now i get this :::.. I tried Cablenut ....I tried about 18 different custom settings from this site. The best one I found that helped me was the cable & dsl 6000/384. Wasnt a huge improvement but it did improve.
