Hi All, Just have a quick question, when I right click on my desktop to get the menu or to create new folder and so on, the right click takes like 7-10 seconds and then I get the menu. I was just wondering is there a registry tweak to make it faster, I think there is one, I just forgot about it so if anyone has any idea, feel free to post under my post...lol THANKS

Keep in mind that wireless connection won't be the same as if you were to connect directly. I have the same router and it delivers great performance, have you tried to re-set it as if you just got it and set it up again. Also, try to get the latest firmware for wireless adaptor that's in your PC (unless of course it's a Wireles Enabled Notebook). I've encountered the same problem once or twice with a friends computer with the same router, I just re-set everything and configured it from scratch.....hope this helps.

Thanks for the relies. I don't think this power supply has a temp regulator in it cause it's a older Compaq PC (that should say a lot) lol. This PC is actually not mine, a friend got it somewhere and wanted me to take a look at it, and I thought that the fan on the power supply was dead, and thanks for confirming that. BTW tried the compressed air, little dust came out but that's about it.......... I don't think I'll be opening it, cause it's just not worth it, lol i't a 200W power supply, I'll just get a generic power supply for them and install it. I appreciate all your help. Hi All I have a quick question, if the fan in the power supply does not turn while computer is operating I'm thinking the power supply is gonna go dead soon. Please correct me if I'm wrong, and possibly suggest what I can do for the fan inside to make it work. I checked all the connections on the motherboard and I think the main connection that the power supply connects to should control the fan and turn it on, all other fans (CPU & Case fan work) Thanks a Million, gazillion, bazillion..... :!: :!: times.

That's what I'm trying to figure out, do I format it through DOS ? I'm kind of new at this, and I thought I ca just plug the hard drive in and it would automatically do whatever's needed ??

it's a Hitachi Deskstar. And I Already tried going through control panel, it scans the computer and tells me that the hard drive is already installed. I can't access it through DOS cause I don't know the drive letter. i'm sure the drive is NTFS but I might be wrong because I don't know if it has been formatted yet........any more suggestions ?

Hi All I have a quick question, I currently have a WinXP machine and the boot hard drive is coming close to being full, so I bought another hard drive from a local computer shop, didn't have a cd or anything, but I just placed it as a slave in my computer and when I go to my computer, the hard drive doesn't shoe up I only have the C: drive. when I go to device manager it says that the device is working properly, but i can't locate it in my computer, and when I went to system set up in BIOS it shows that it's a recognizable hard disk and is configured as slave...[glow=red,2,300]PLEASE HELP [/glow]

Hi All, Just had a quick question, I have a program at home that is called EVEREST (Like a benchmarking program) and it shows all the internal components, what they are what they do and what they are running at (speed wise) so i ran a test on a P4 2.8Ghz, when I purchased the computer, it said that it has a 800Mhz front side BUS, the program shows that it's running at 200Mhz. Why would that be, and how can I change it to 800Mhz ? Through BIOS ? I have this machine HP Pavilion a350n with upgraded memory module (Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT 1GB DDR400 XMS3200 Dual-Channel Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader). Thanks for looking and possibly suggesting a solution

Hi All Just wanted to ask you guys something, whenever I'm playing a video game sometimes I'm getting these error messages. the heading says **APPLICATION NAME** - Application Error then the body of the message states: The instruction at "0x00469012" referenced memory at "0x000000". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program Click on CANCEL to debug the program. that's it. Can anyone assist ? I just purchased brand new memory from Corsair 1G. (TWINX1024-3200C2PT) If any more info needed please ask. Thanks. Igor P.S. I also noticed that the "instruction" and the "reference memory" numbers cold change with every time that error box pops up.

Tried calling comcast and it's pointless, they say in their disclosures they do not gurantee the speed, but can only try to provide the service and I don't want to talk to them anymore, seems like they are all following the same stupid script. that's the whole point I can't do that, because the link itself can be embedded in the picture so if I right click save as it's only going to save the picture but not the file itself, but when i click on the picture it srats to download the file.

Hi All OK, I have encountered a problem, I can't seem to figure out. When I try to download a MPG file or any kind of other movie file from the net, I click on the link and it automatically starts downloading to the TEMP folder. Before I had the choice to OPEN SAVE or CANEL. I didn't do any changes to the computer before this, and do not know how this happened. Any help would be appreciated Thanks.
