  1. I guess I did jump the gun a little . It's just that I freaked when I saw this happening. Will give it more time.Thanks.
  2. I have been getting connection drops from comcast ever since after hurricane katrina and comcast says they cannot find anything wrong on their end. All the lights would go out except power and the receive light would blink for awhile. All the lights would come on after awhile and things would work great for a while and then it would do it again. Any ideas what might be causing this and how to fix it? I have already powercycled the modem. One thing that might effect it is that there are a few tree branches interfereing with the actual cable and phone lines and it is real windy today.Could the branches knocking the cables around be causing it?I am going to try to get the branches cut down.Thanks.
  3. Thanks.Sorry about posting in the wrong forum.

  10. I am a noobie to broadband so please do not flame me. I heard about people "Uncapping" their cable broadband speed to get faster speed and I have learned that this is illegal. Using Cablenut to tweak the registry to increase speed,is that "Uncapping". Thank you.I wanted to find out before I use it.
