Oh I have Apache running and everything.

Thinking about running a mostly private web server, but I am not sure what I want to use it for. I have a FTP server set up for myself when I go out of town, for close friends to get some files from me. I dont have a lot of upload bandwith (384KB up) so I can't really run anything that would pull a ton of bandwith. Suggestions?

Alright, awesome, just wanted to make sure, I was just testing my PC with the 50' CAT6 and getting a few hundred KB lower every time as compared to a 3' Cat5 cable connected to my laptop next to the router.

I know that Cat6 is good for Gigabit Ethernet, but under what distance circumstances does the line start to degrade? The reason I ask, is becuase I just bought a 50' piece of Cat6 to run from my router to my PC and wanted to see if I was losing any speed.

I am running a 802.11b router/card, which I know is limited to a theoretical 11MBps, would my speed increase if I upgrade to an extreme 802.11g (104MBps) router/PCI card or do I just need to buy a 30 ft. piece of Cat 5 to run to my pc? -

I am fully patched and service packed up. I also forgot to mention, I am running a PCMCIA wireless card on the laptop and a USB wireless card on the Desktop. The desktop is pulling slightly higher on average at around 3.4 MB down. -
