I am running a cable line through my house, through a motorola sb5100 modem, then to a linksys wireless router, ethernet to a windows me laptop, and wireless via channel 6 to a windows 98se desktop. I am using Tweak master on both computers and the fastest I can get on the laptop is 2.9 Mbps, the fastest on the desktop is 3.0 Mbps. The 98se is a much slower pc, running a wireless connection on 54mbps card and router, rather than ethernet. Any suggestions on rwin settings or anything else would be helpful.
