Not really, it was staying steady at 73-74 now its around 70-72 so nothing worth worrying about. I reset the modem, forced ranging, and my speeds have picked up a bit. Figure its just the weather.

We've been having some fairly gusty winds. Around 30MPH so this may have something to do with it. I'm just hoping the wind didn't knock the dish out of alignment again. My installer used a 12 foot 4x6 to mount the dish. He said he put it in concrete down 3 feet. About a week after install we had some really bad weather, tornadoes all around us, and the winds here on our land hit about 50MPH. He had to come out and re-align the dish. What are some better, and not too extremely expensive, alternatives for mounting the dish? Thanks.

One of my main problems with the 6000 was the transmission errors. I was getting about 25% failed transmissions. On the 7000 right now the numbers are 758106 successful and 2995 failed. .00395 percent of my transmissions have failed. Nice.

The lowest my DL has been was around 1Mbps. It hasn't dropped below that once. So far, i'm happy. Just hope it lasts.

I just upgraded from the basic consumer plan on the DW6000 to the Pro plan with the DW7000. My speeds on the 6000 were horrid. It was extremely unstable and the speeds fluctuated like crazy. My strength was anywhere from 45 to 67 on the old system. Right now on the new one it is steady at 72-73. 17782/0 on successful/failed transmissions. By now on the old system I would have at least 100 failed transmissions. So far i'm happy, but its only been a little while. I'll run more tests throughout tonight and tomorrow and see how it all comes out. Your speeds seem really consistent. I hope mine stay the way they are now. By the way, what sat are you on? I'm on G11.

Thanks for the welcome. I ran that test at about 1:30pm CST. My installation was done about a month ago. It was moved from another location where I was getting horrid speeds. Since the move it has picked up quite a bit and the stability is a little bit better. I've thought about calling my installer out but I wanted to check my speeds against other DW users first. I don't guess I should really complain though. It is a TON faster than our old dial up here. We were averaging a connection speed of about 9600bps with actual download speeds of about 3kbs.
