I had Zoominternet when I lived outside of Pittsburgh a few years back. The speeds were excellent, and I don't recall the connection ever being down.

You are correct. After talking with a Cebridge tech, I was informed that they cap the connection @ 256k for 3 hours if you exceed downloading 30mb in ten minutes. *hangs head down and cries Kinda nulls the point of a 1/128, eh?

It's a cable connection. I read over the tweaks and stuff, but all my pc's run linux / bsd, and I've tried evrything I can think of.

I just moved here, and this is by far the worst broadband connection I have ever had, anywhere. Here are my stats for a "1mb/sec" connection....... :::..
