that line is so solid it isnt even funny!! There is no more than 2 ms diff between the hops , wow, that is sick.
-
lol , i dont transfer that many files anyways so i just use aim cuz it is just there and i did get the full speeds on the speedtest when i did it while transferring the files.
-
i have the tv and i dont get the 10 mb , but maybe because i have a sb5100 and not a 5120. I saw my frined get a new modem and he gained a 1 mbps , but upload didnt change . Also , there is no 10/384 , it is 6/384 so he would be around 4 mbps faster , i dont think so!!
-
When i did it on a newer computer , it was able to handle the load of aim and the speedtest, so it was prolly jus the old computer.
-
I was sending a file over aim to another computer on my network and it wasn't going very fast, and i went to run a speedtest and only got 4000 kbps and was wondering why lan would affect the computers speed test?

Wow , Anox, that is Sdsl. No wonder you never get near your cap lol , look at your first hop , that is worse than my cable.
-
Why that line is probably solid as a rock and the pings have to be sick if he is prolly 1 of 40 people with those speeds considering the price. That is better than speakeasy package. Theirs is $120 6/768 , so you got more uplaod to mess with.
Do a trace Route to Testmy.net

Post an upload test, i bet you like your uplaod thoguh, although it might be like 1.6 mbps
-
How can you say "Woot" , you arent above cap and your about 3 megs under , lol how is that good?
-
lol they lied to you, They are not installing fiber, when your in a bellsouth area. Verizon doesnt service you if you have Bellsouth Dsl . Seriously , were not stupid dude.
-
You dont have Fiber , your on copper wires and they dont offer Verizon Fios on Bellsouth lines. I"f you are getting it , then show us were it says you qualify and an Email that says you are eligible for it.lol
-
That is a lie, lol unless you have fiber right now over your bellsouth, then your definetly lying . lol And it wouldnt be called verizon fios either, it would be a business line from bellsouth for 380 a month.
-
For one thing your not getting fios considering that you have bellsouth and you are "3000 ft" away from the dslam. @ dsl companies dont serve one area , lol.
-
Of course you can upload and download all you want even if you are capped, but if your going to use the line to host Q4 , UT 2k7 , Xbox games or w/e, like you said before , you will have 900 up abd only be able to do a 7 man. But now you have more upload, so maybe the cap will go up a little bit on residential side. There is a limit.
-
Your upload on adelphia is definetely 896 , but still your above cap.
-
you have to get capped because if you don't i'll be jealous and whoever heard of business customers being treated better than residentials. all they do is pay more.
lol , if you think you are so smart , then do you even know what getting capped means?
-
You have to get capped, if you are affecting others on your node , then you will get capped, the business package maybe adds a static ip and maybe a 50 GB upload transfer rate a month, you are still running off the same pipe as the residential users and it will nerver compare to your dedicated sdsl line.
-
Whatever man, i dont need to lie so believe it or not. 1 of the comcast lines is shared with my neighbor and we have a network set up. He pays half and i pay half.
-
Why wouldn't you believe me ? Why would i ly about them?

Ya , dont get me wrong those speeds are good , but you are real lucky in your case to live in a place where so little people use their internet.
-
You know as they begin to upgrade to higher speeds and considering that your line is shared , you are going to slow down when more people get the upgrade and wont have those speeds anymore.
-
lol , you have not been on the 5/768 for 3 yrs. It wasn't even available in 2002. The highest they offered was like 4/384.
