  3. Hi, it's me again with another networking problem. A few weeks ago (a month ago), I posted a thread explaining a very annoying problem. I got it fixed by setting up a Static I.P. for myself. Another problem arose about 3 weeks later. The problem wasn't on my main computer, it was on my other one. (It uses WiFi BTW) It would have a small yellow triangle with an exclamation point at the icon tray bar on the bottom right on the network icon, and say acquiring network address before the icon. I didn't know what to do, I restarted it, nothing, I restarted the adapter, still nothing. I decided to reset my router to it's factory settings. The problem on my other computer is fixed, but now I have my old problem with my main computer. What should I do? Thanks. BTW,I didn't set a static I.P. yet, fearing the problem on the other computer might come back.
  4. is there one for Vista? edit: never mind, I found one and i think i did it right... now i just have to see if it ever happens again...
  5. how would I fix this problem then... and how do I give myself a static IP
  6. I have a Linksys WRT54G router and once in a while (each week), my computer (wired), decides to have a network issue about something not having full connection... I don't exactly remember what it is about except I remember a yellow triangle with a exclamation point on the network icon in the taskbar. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit currently. What I usually do to make my internet function again is pull the power out of the router and put it back in. I tried Network diagnostics but it does not sole my problem. So, I ask for your help to help me in fixing this extremely annoying problem. Thanks .
