Yeah but they can try it any way i cant even find the reset no more LOLThat reset button for the 7000 isn't very good... It never really does anything to help (for me at least).

Ahhh you are so lucky trying to get dsl or cable down my way maybe i move back to union grove N.C they had good dsl there lolAfter cleaning the bird doo off of the dish, failed transmissions have stopped. Uploads still suck, but I think that's something on DWay's end. I will be so glad in a couple of months when I move to Greenville and be done with this. Cox cable here I come!

well the dw7000 does not have a reset button on it you got to go to mydirecway and to the help file and it has reset moded thereThe 4000 doesn't have a reset button.
We have to unplug the modem wait 30 sec. then plug it back in.
Thanks though I did that. to reset it already.
I cleaned my computer and ran a on-line spyware and a virus detector. So I know that I am clean.
I also redid the web setup.
Also I redid my SatSpeed settings.
I did every thing that they would have told me. Been on Sat. for 5 yrs now. I think I know some tricks first be for I call them. But you probably will guess that they would try to get me to do every thing again.
They will probably will try to get me to go to their web site to run a speed test to try to verify. We will see tomarrow.
I'll keep you all updayed on the status.

I dont know much about the dw4000 but can you reset that moded like you can the 7000?? if so try to reset it
tech told me to reset mine he said its just like you computer you live it up for so long it get slow just liek the moded -

Ever time i take a test here the bar stops then starts then stop
so dont know my real speed yet i got a new tweak on but like i said the bar gos and stops -

Well lately a lot of ppl have been having problems but for me its fine in the morings runs great then at night it slows way down like 260 k so i think it on there end they just want own up to it lol "dont want ppl to know there stuped"

M16: I am on SatMex 5 and I have been having problems also for 5 days now. Same problems slow browser start up and D/L very slow. Maybe They are trying to get rid of some of their customers by making it unbearable. I've Had Satillite for 5 yrs now and I think they are trying to make me upgrade to the DWay 7000 sereies, I don't think so.

I was only out for a couple of hours... I threw snowballs at the dish to knock the snow off
That PAM stuff also works very well with wet snow.
lol bird i didnt threw snow balls but i unpluged my moded and now its back up and runing maybe i need to do the same but the ppl that live around me think i am crazy lol my Signal is 60 right now

Yeah we are geting a storm right now this moring my conn was down so i unpluged my moded for about 3 hrs then i pluged it back in and now am on agine with a 59 Signal

I downloaded something today and was getting 130kB/s, so I still think it's a speed burst.
Bird well when you D/L off a size that site has to send date just as fast or faster then you to get that speed I may be wrong on that one but i think thats the way it works i down load a 4.0 mg mp3 in 1 min
Motley Crue - Dr Feel Good but like i said if you down load off some one thats got lots speed you be downing the with losts speed like i said i think thats how it works thats why when i get songs i look for the guy with highs speed

AMC9 has been having it's share of problems recently. My number of failed transmits has been irregularly high. Around 18%. However, I do have crap on my dish and I just cleaned it. I also have moisture in the feed horn window which im trying to figure out how to go about drying that up. Maybe that will fix that problem.
Yeah i am on AMC9 also having problems with speed also but where going to get a BIG SNOW STORM here in east TN lol 2-4 inchs LOL

Jeff go to start run type in cmd then a box well come up the type in ping www.a website.com or what ever and it well tell you the ping times hope that helps you if that is what you are looking for
