    oh. yeah. i'm gonna go and complain to daco too. i'm gonna complain to them that onelink is advertising up; to 4mb which i'm not getting. boohoo.

    oh, wait. /up to/ 4 mb. seems there is no case there. as for the claimed capping of torrents, tell me how you want to explain to them that you are being treated badly because they don't let you steal copyrighted material as fast as you want to.

    and /if/ daco does anything, big deal. the fines that daco can issue are so small that they get payed out of petty cash by anyone fined. it's cheaper for a company to get fined by daco than to actually make an effort to fix a problem.

    You need to understand to respect other people opinions and decisions. If you don't know how to do a complaint, ask him. He can help you too.

    And IS NOT HOW MUCH $ you can make with DACO ... is the company name and reputation in jeopardy. This file will NEVER erase on caplink history. Learn your rights. This will do worst to them than the $ you can/will get.

    Ok, since this is my last month and I don't know if I have some more times free (a lot of work now) let me express my feeling about all this situation.

    Let me start saying and "asking". We have a Term of use? Because the links are dead! So they are changing it, I swear that this is illegal IF they complete/partial change them and don't said/ask if the user agreed to them. That's an official ILLEGAL thing to do. If they are only changing the name adelphia to craplink that's ok.

    Then, WTF is all this blocking crap/excuse? OTHERS ISP (outside PR, in USA territory) have a BETTER -> MUCH BETTER services + LOW -> EXTREMELY LOW prices + UNCAPED + RELIABLE. So .... WTF with this NAZI shit? I'm out of my patience. They are crossing the lines of the extreme crap services of all time.

    They are fixing things? SO TELL it on a recorded message in the phone, SEND CORDIAL EMAILS, make it public, write it on the BILL, DO [censored] something!!!! Not be so prick and "make" seen things are ok. THERE IS A PROBLEM, INFORM THEM TO THE CUSTOMERS! GOD!!

    Finally. Guys ..... bittorent is used by A LOT of websites to distribute their GAME DEMOS, FREE SOFTWARE, DISTROS, ETC! You remember when all (90% to make it fair) websites that have GAME DEMOS were FREE to download and you have uncapped downloads, Times have changed to worst. Now 99% of all websites have a subscription service, capped/queue lines, so to make it worst GAME DEMOS now days are 500mb to 1GB to download. Some of them to make it faster AND free, use BT. This way they use all user bw and download "faster", than free capped services.

    So what now? NO NEWGROUPS, CAPPED UPLOAD, BLOCKED PORTS, BAD SERVICE, COKY TECHs, ... list goes on and on. ALL this for a fabulous $56 DOLARS @ MONTH! GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT they are learning from the govern, GIVE LESS, PAY MORE!

    One thing, they will charge now (don't know if they were in one time charging) for activation of powercrap service.

    I don't be surprised if they up the bill to $60. I know some here will be ... bla that's nothing bill me more! I, can't/don't.

    Let's go back in time were Adelphia Powerlink was something. All was paradise, connection was reliable, speeds, friendly techs, etc. GOD WHY GOD you make this HELL broke loose. :haha:

    well, robocop. since yopu already accused me of flaming i will now address a flame to you. you call me not 100% puerto rican. damned right. and if in your eyes i have to be 100% puerto rican i have to do silly things like protest against the navy (which was one of the few remaining reasons the US has to pump money into this place), put up with laughable utilities and horrible roads, kick and scream when the fbi finally decides to take out a leftwingnut terrorist, try to keep the island a commonwealth to enjoy free sh*t from the states instead of grabbing the chance and pushing for statehood to get most of the free stuff they already give along with an actual vote in the congress and senate instead of some resident commissioner that can do no more than beg, accept a governor that says that noone in the US is interested in doing something about the status issue (which is major league bullsh*t, since all the representatives and senators would gladly have a slice of the billions of dollars pumped here every year, so giving the island independence and letting it turn into another banana republic just like so many islands around it appeals to them. the only caveat would be the millions of puerto ricans moving to the states if that happens.), accepting a school system that sucks and doesn't teach english because of some deluded opinion on that destroying the cultural identity etc. etc. etc. then yeah, i'm damned glad not to be 100% puerto rican.

    daco is a joke. it is so by law. a car dealer refuses to repair a lemon. he gets fined. he gets fined exactly 50 bucks. i wonder if he gives a sh*t.

    even if daco fines onelink, the cost of the fine as opposed to the cost of doing anything about the reason for the fine beyond what they are already doing is laughable.

    the transition was poorly planned and executed badly. like most things here.

    i'll just wait till whenever their manana is.

    I wonder how the internet is in those booths that they have in the malls around, look how fast powerlink is and when you get home with your sweet internet kit you get screwed

    and I see the DATA led of the modem NOT (always) blinking. Like all our modems ..... weird stuff. They told me that it isn't a scanner, that is a "new" way to have always on internet.

    first, under the terms of use it says no illegal sh*t. most torrent/p2p falls under that, so what's the problem.

    (and don'[t start crying about how you need to download at least 3 linux distros daily to get your fix. if you use linux half the time the machine is messed up or recompiling some crap so you can't use the net anyhow)

    second, the online gaming thing is interesting. that will be something to keep an eye on.

    third, why are they being so rude? probably because they are acting like any other company and especially any other public service provider in puerto rico. they overcharge, the service sucks, and customers that demand a fix get barked at.

    third, maybe the techs are also just as fed up with the decisions management has made, the planning mistakes management has made and are taking it out on the customers.

    i am not happy about the situation either but i also know that the usual runaroundwiththeirheadslodgedfirmlyuptheirfourthpointofcontacttime here is pretty long, so i'm just gonna wait.

    as for daco achieving anything, dont't make me laugh. even if they do get it together long enough to figure out the problem the fines they can issue are laughable. i know people that will gladly eat the daco fine and keep right on trucking because it's still more profitable to take the fine and carry on than to fix the problem.

    troll by nature? I'm starting to think that.

    FIRST: Where I talk about p2p/torrent crap?

    SECOND: They can't block gaming ports. Or mess with (us) the gamers.

    THIRD: I read the agreements/term of usage the first day I got the service.

    FORTH: They can be rude BECAUSE they AREN'T been monitored. They can talk crap all they want. I do to them if they start. I wish their call be monitored so they can STFU already. (if all this rude thing is true)

    FIFTH: I can go to DACO if I want to, or you are my mentor? I see you are those peoples that are "CONFORMISTAS", or don't FIGHT for their rights. You don't sound 100% puertorrican. We here fight for our rights and seek justice one way or another.

    ok, TheSavior. i just got off the phone and asked about online gaming as well (i play WoW too) and they said online gaming is approached at the same way as with p2p/bittorrent.

    they've limited bandwidth for online gaming as well stating that "online gaming takes too much bandwidth and is second to p2p/bittorrent". dude, what the hell :-/

    CAN'T be true. They can not block ANY port or restring online gaming. Or else I'm gonna be $$! On the adverts are clearly posted (play game online, download music, video, etc) .... ohhh boy .... DACO time! :mad2:

    What the hell is that, "online gaming takes too much bandwidth" .... I DO WITH MY F* CONNECTION WATHER I WHANT (that not are stipulated in the agreement)! WTF!

    Already a LOT of people are dropping/canceling their contract. I suggest YOU (all) do the same thing. We need to demonstrate that we are the customers, we deserves respect, and how we can fight? NOT getting their service. They will get hurt financially, where they hurt must.

    Wow is that for true? That person was rude! The calls aren't monitored so they can talk like that.  :angry5:

    Btw I think they can't have full access to the bandwidth. They are employees nothing more. They uncap there lines are another story. IMO

    So when they ask for the phone number is to write or see if you have illegal activities done? and write bad comments?
