  2. I will admit that most of what you said is over my head.... What is a tracert and where exactly can I find one on testmy.net can. If that is done during the "Download Speed Test", here are the results: This was tested from a 1075 kB file and was downloaded in 30.64 seconds :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 287 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 1075 kB) Download Speed is:: 35 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net Test Time:: Bottom Line:: 5X faster than 56K 1MB download in 29.26 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 66.44 % of your hosts average (232.51) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-DF38TOQJ5 My ISP advertised speed is up to 128 to 384Kbps. (Only speed available in my area).

  4. Can't get Download speed off of testmy.net, only Upload. Using other speedometers of bandwidth (pcpitstop.com), I am showing a severely crippled connection. Using WinXP, SBC DSL (not the Pro-pack). Where do I start with this? Here what I know: Bandwidth Down: [glow=red,2,300]133 Kbits/sec [/glow] Bandwidth Up: 322 Kbits/sec Average Ping: 99 ms Ping Loss: 0% TCP Receive Window (default) Browser MSIE 6.0; SV1; .NET CLR 1.0.3705 IE current cache 13 MB IE max cache 80 MB Here's what I have done: Power cycled; Run TCPOptimizer; Run AdAware; Run Search and Destroy; Run CCleaner. I have a current HijackThis file (for those that can help with that) Still very sluggish.... Any suggestions? Let me kow what esle I can do to help my speed. Many thanks in advance.
