I would like to know what is the best and most simplest program/software out there for MP3 and sound editing. For example taking content out of music tracks, adding extra content into tracks, disabling backgroud sounds etc.

I want the software to be fairly easy to learn and use.

i just want to know if there is a way to password protect folders.

I have alot of work documents that i do not want others to touch, so is there any way i can protect them by password.

i heard you can rar them and protect them w/ password - how can i do this.

i know of the 'hidden' method of hideing the folders but i need them password protected.

my display can handle 75hertz.

should i put it on that or leave it to 60hertz. - what would be the difference?

i'm a bit confused on this mode timing for display thing. which one is the best option:

GTF

DMT

CVT standard

Fixed asset ratio timing

Also my current setting of 'screen refresh rate' is 60hertz and my comp can handle 75hertz - should i put it to 75Hertz or leave it at 60 - and what would be the difference.

please correct me if i'm wrong but does winzip or winrar make a file smaller through compressing it.

so for e.g. if i have a 2GB file and i compress it with winzip - will that file become something like 1GB?

I want to know this becouse i am planning to REBOOT my PC and i have quite a bit of stuff on it that i would like to keep - so i want to put these files onto my EX.hardrive. so i thought making them smaller and placing them onto ex.hardrive would help.

My hardrive hasen't got much space in it so and there are loads of files i want to keep.

I just recently bought a new  EX.hard-drive and its in FAT32 format. Now on the instructions it says if your a XP or 2000 user you should turn this into a NTFS format. Now i know how to do that and i have an XP but -

Whats these 2 formats about and why should i switch from FAT32 to NTFS?

i wanna know whats the benifit of NTFS, if the instructions reccommend it.

i am having a problem with dreamweaver images. I can successfully insert images and they work fine when in normal web preview BUT when i take my work to another computer, i am not able to see the images. The images only seem to be showing on my home computer?
