so if i partition it and put my files in it, will i be still able to carry it around and use it on another pc with the files stored in and no need to partion again to make compatiable to the other pc.

Can you use an external hardrive between two computers over a network or actually take the ex. hardrive to the other computer. I mean like if I save lots of information on the ex. hardrive and then take it to the other computer to use it on that one, will I have to make it compatible with the other computer and if I do will everything be deleted.

after reinstalling the computer - would i be able to put the files i trasfered onto the ex. hardive back into the computer internal hardive. Will the computer still recognise the ex. hardrive as it did before the reinstalling of the computer. Because if you partition the computer internal hardrive then everything gets deleted, will this be the same situation with ex. hardive.

wat software would you recomend for protection from the threats of virus, spyware, adware etc.

i am currently using AVG and PC guard as well as spy sweeper,

also is it ok to use 2 software packages at once i.e. i use both avg and pc guard at same time.

recently i installed the 'permission' thingy in microsost office word - which makes or i thought makes word document files restricted to only certain people to read or that only people can read the document and not copy,paste,print etc the document.

Now, and i think its becouse of using this 'permission' thingy - i save or open my word documents - a office word icon comes within that folder. their named with the word doument i open and have either these 2 things:

~$icing Strategy.doc

~WRL0372.tmp

How do i stop these from coming up. this never used to happen before.

and how do i get rid of this permission thingy.

I am thinking of buying an external harddrive cos my current one is nearly full.

i want to know - do i have to partition the ex. hardrive and make it recognisable to me pc or do i just have to just connect it by usb port and my computer will automatically recognise it.

also would i be able to store all my important files onto the external hardrive and then RESTART my computer to the orignal state, when i first purchsed it. - so that my computer is in its 'orignal' state and then i plan to transfer the files(Kept on ex. hardrive) back to me orignal internal computer hardrive. basically i want to know if the external hardrive data and information will be deleted if i reboot my pc.

is it possible in 1click dvd copy to put avi,div-x,mpeg etc and then the program converts them and puts them onto dvd.

becouse i have recently starting using it and all i can do is copy from 1 dvd to another dvd, can the program do more.

well how do some people do it. I got a letter from Dell about PC specs - i could only read the whole document but could not change anyone of its content, not that i wanted to but was wondering how i'm able to do this.

How do i change the name of file using nero (7) so when on chapter screen on nero and that of dvd, it comes up with a different name and not something like mymovie.avi but insted it just comes up with mymovie or my movie etc.

Is it possible to make a office Word document a read only file i.e. when i send a word document to some 1, the person can only read it  but are forbidden from making any changes 2 it. 

How do i turn it bak 2 normal so that if i rename it. it still remains in its orignal program.

The problem is, when i try to rename a video/movie file, a message comes up saying ''if you change a file name extention, it may become unusable'' and if i do rename it - the file just turns into a unknown file, which i have to open and find the program to open it.

Please help????????????????

whats the best DVD burning software within the market that burns DVD's at fast speeds, which does DVD 2 DVD and AVI and other types and makes them 2 DVD format.

I have nero and DVD santa but there 2 slow on 8X dvd media disks while CLONE DVD (Trial) does a DVD in about 30 mins WHILE the exact same movie on nero (Ultra 7) takes 2 - 3 hours.

Also is it possible to burn AVI with clone (slysoft) softwares and if so which 1 does it so that it goes from AVI and other formats 2 DVD.

basicially i want:

>A FAST SOFTWARE WHICH BURNS DVD'S FAST

>SOFTWARE WHICH CAN CONVERT AVI,XVID etc 2 DVD

nope, its just at the start. it comes up for about 10 seconds and then disappers. after that its onto the video.

this banner thingy is just at the start. i've seen people remove copyright warning from videos and movies so there muct be a way. My intention is not to remove any copy right warnings and statments but only to make my dvd's more spacey and to remove 'crap' off some videos like ''This Soccer Match has been bought to you by Sportflex''
