okay for the past month my internet has been dying. My ISP has come out twice. The first time the guy had it going but then he put back the spliter and it dyed again. So he comes back out and gets it going again the next day. A couple days later it starts working only at night but in the day its down. It eventually died and never comes up. I took away the slitter and it works off of the main cable line but it's slower. Sometimes that meathod doesnt work. But usally after I rehook the splitter after a direct connect, it runs normally for a little while. Anyone have a clue whats wrong? My network consists of 2 computers running XP and a Xbox.

okay. I figured it out by myself. By the way. I wanted to know how to do it to see if this on the roof thing in an online game is true. I found out it was (in a empty server) and now I don't care. Standby for cheating reasons is just stupid and only crappy players need to use it. Im sorry if you think Im a cheater but Im very much opposed to it.

Does anyone know of a program or meathod to standby your network's internet connection? I play Xbox Live and I want to use standby for (not a cheater) . Problem is my modem is in my basement and so is my router so I cant press standby. Does anyone know of a program that will do it or a way without going to the modem?

Okay. For the past two weeks my internet has been running really slow. I have Charter High-Speed Internet. I usually download files at about 375 BK/Sec but now Im down to 1.97 KB/Sec. Tests have said I run 0 times faster than Dialup. I don't know if the problem is with charter or if my cable modem or router is broken. Any ideas?
