Well considering my location I guess this is an OK speed. I just wish the FIOS would be extended from "Old" Aubrey and Krugerville (and the FIOS are not even being used and I do not know who owns them. I just saw signs denoting the location of lines while walking having a smoke one day on the 377 in "old" Aubery).

duh . . .I think my spped has dropped! I have an advertised speed of 7000/512 which is the highest my provider (Cebridge.net) gives (at least for now). I just wish I still had the 9000/1000 (advertised speed but about 8975/950 + or - in reality) speed that I had in San Diego, CA with Cox Communications before I left to move to Texas. I was with Cox for nearly seven years and after they were unceremoniously separated from Excite their speeds just kept getting higher and higher.

7000/512 My test just seems slow to me today. I wish that cebridge.net did not have a monoply on my area. And AT&T's DSL is supposed to be coming with an advertised 6000 down (I do not know the upload speed). I had PacBell's DSL for about 13 months back in 1999-2000 and I think DSL sucks.

Originally I am from San Diego, CA with 9000/1000 from Cox Communications. I now live in Aubrey, TX and my ISP is Cebridge Communications. hmm . . .what is this obsession with "Communications"?
