  13. hello again, I searched the internet for my existing connection... It turns out BT Yahoo Broadband are advertising their speeds wrong in some places it says that the speed is 8mb in others it says it is 2mb. This explains alot as I'm running at 1.82mbps. Thanks for your time.

  15. Right I'll try I looked through the forum and understood maybe 5% of it, decided the Cablenut was a good place to start... With the cablenut on my PC and configured. I got the download speed to 1.8mb, and the upload speed to 0.24mb. considering I'm supposed to have an 8mb connection this is pretty poor I'm guessing. I then took the ping test this told me I have a ping of 4012ms... I then tried ending some of the processes on the task manager which is usually sat at 37 i got it to 26. And upped my virtual memory to 4027mb. I tried running the games again and my pings are around the 300-400 mark, which gets me kicked due to lagg. I'm not to sure as to what info you'll need to help me. Thanks again, kane
  16. hey all, I'm having problems with the speeds of my broadband. According to the advertisements I'm supposed to be running on an 8mbps connection. Now I'm not to computer wise, but I do alot of online gaming here and there but I can't play due to high ping times. I tried the speed test and This is what I got: Upload speed - 0.2 mbps Download speed - 1.75 mbps If anyone knows Anything I could try that would be great, I'm not to good on computers, so if someone could explain what I need to do It would be greatfully appreciated Thanks, Kane
