  1. actually i think i have spyware on that computer as to why it doesnt wanna work good so im using spybot, pestpatrol, ad-aware, and microsoft antispyware just to make sure its the reason why its been slow

  3. okay something is really messed up here i just tried the accesscomm.ca speed test on my laptop that is using wifi through the router and it got this: 2005-02-15 20:45:55 EST: 4627 / 730 Your download speed : 4739069 bps, or 4627 kbps. Your upload speed : 747989 bps, or 730 kbps. and my desktop which i have used up till now i just did too and it got 3190/688 on that same test i know i used one of the version 3 cablenut settings of yours on the laptop but shouldnt the ethernet connection be faster than the wifi?

Okay so i connected my computer back to the router and changed the NIC back to 100 full duplx, i then did a speedtest at the http://speedtest.accesscomm.ca and it was really close to what it was getting before when it was a direct connection. Then i changed the cablenut settings to what you said and it seems to have gotten slower...but i think with the little changes the upload actually got better unless i'm crazy... :::..
