I wasn't sure where to post this. I think it might be a bug. I've got a gigabit lan with a 500mpbs metro ethernet connection to flrnet. Whenever I use testmy.net to do a speed test, it always tops out at 60mbs or less, usually at 48-52. Download speeds are usually 350-400 as expected. The thing is, I'm actually getting much faster upload speeds with other tests. Some recent results... fast.com: 460 down, 310 up MeasurementLab: 475 down, 343 up testmy.net: 364 down, 52 up Multithreading makes no difference to the results. I prefer using testmy.net at my work, but these numbers are making people think we're not getting what we pay for from the metro ethernet (COX). Cox claims they see no issues from their end. Could there be some sort of bug which causes incorrect results from an environment like mine?
