Try the 100mb test...You will probably notice it starts fast, and levels off towards the end of the download, if it is the boost that is affecting the results...

The speakeasy tests are not really that accurate for faster lines, IMO ...I think the TMN tests are a better indicator of true download speed, as opposed to your peak speed that you hit.

Sparticus013 ;Finally another post in dial-up.I think a lot of the faster connections provide a dial-up account with their service..I think when they do it is included in the price for the faster connection.If it does your dial-up might be free.

Dial up is GREAT for when cable goes out. Even if I don't ever use it I can't get rid of my trusty AOL. My account is 14 years old!

I've had the experience of having dlink, netgear, belkin, buffalo tech, and linksys. linksys has been by far the best for me.

Avg recently did that to me i left it alone for about a week and it stopped.

Yeah, when i run the upload test now i get an error message. 

Has anyone else had inaccurate results or problems testing ever since the server went down? Seems like ever since then I could have anywhere from 3-12 mb down. On other sites my speed seems to be pretty consistant.

Same here but there has been something wrong with the upload test, i was getting 2 up last night.

EDIT:haha im determined. chuckycharms you said $35 package? well here is a list of consumer packages from your isp, the business packages run 155 and up.

Have you tried calling your ISP to see if its something with them?

how many times is your like split before it gets to the cable modem maximumsport? if it is split to many times this will happen.

Yes, I had the same problem they but this box with like 15 blue and green lights in my basement and its some sort of signal booster.
