  1. Hee hee, yes I'm very pleased with that - just from a modem change. And on AOL, to boot? Surprised, too. GeForce 7600 and 512 more memory in tomorrow ... I may end up with a pretty good machine. Mike
  2. Yeah, helped some - 123 Kbps up to 13038 ...
  3. Ordered a 5120 from Newegg ... $54.00 shipped. thanks for the help guys, I'll post my findings when the new modem is up. Mike
  4. Yeah, tried that. MSIE (with AOL out of the picture) was just as bad. I think it's the modem. MikeTTF
  5. Link didn't work for me. I'm thinking modem now. We've had this old 3Com sharkfin for 5 years. What is the best cable modem? (for Insight BB) Mike
  6. Well, seems I've tried about everything I've read here with little improvment. Love to know what your CableNut / Registry parameters are? Mike
  7. The Ali comment is NOT appreciated by me. I can personally assure you that there is no humor hiding in the condition ... "Fellow Broadbander", indeed. Mike Falcone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wps2gog8_EM
  8. Yep, its just as bad on MSIE ... upload (300kbs) is twice the download (178kbs) AOL is ver. 8
  9. No Zone Alarm, Norton or McAfee. And as far as AOL goes ... the test here says the AOL average is 7381 kbps. I would be VERY VERY happy with a Tenth 1/10 of that.
  10. I'm leery of doing anything with this. Can some helpful person look this over and recommend what to do? Thanks!
