  1. Hi I reformatted yesterday. Prior to reformatting i went to the emachine website and DL the drivers for this PC (Model W3507) After reformatting I cannot install. I think the files are corrupted. I redownloaded them and tried again a few times but no way. I am missing the drivers for the Other Deivces....i have no audio and my micro drives are not reading. How can i rectify this without drivers from emachine website? Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus PCI Simple Comunications controoller SM Bus COntroller Video COntroller (VGA COmpatible) The files on the site will not install.

  3. Yes, I reset the modem and also set the router site back to default and entered everything in again. i changed my channel from 11 to 6 which seems to help by a few kb per second. my Kaspersky is still downloading the update, its only between 9 and 11 kb per second. i aslo noticed that the pc that is wireless is not sending packets.
  4. hi everything was running okay. then last night i tried to upload a somewhat small video file to my website and i noticed it was going so slow. i tested my speed and it was just 6 kb per second. i restored today because i thought maybe the kids messed with the settings. its still slow. the connection says its moving but in reality its not. this is my test (dual) from 5 minutes ago i have xp. this pc is running a bellkin wireless adapter. i have kaspersky (which is now all screwed up from the restore but i am updating it and hopefully will fix) i ran spy bot and it was clean. i dont know what else it can be. :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 2782 Kbps about 2.78 Mbps (tested with 3072 kB) Download Speed is:: 340 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 42 Kbps about 0 Mbps (tested with 386 kB) Upload Speed is:: 5 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Main) Test Time:: 2008/12/20 - 1:28pm D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-ZBEUON5TR U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-L5R1GCQBM User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) [!] any help is appreciated. cali
  5. Hi I had everything all fixed and the pc was running nice and the connection was normal (from the weekend). 2 days ago i noticed i was getting booted from msn messenger alot. Today its too slow. I notice in my wireless connection box status... my packets are not moving unless i open my browser it will not move. sent is 0 and received will not move. it was moving nice before. how do i fix this? must i go back through that sticky list again? and i am testing out at like 2500-3000 speed when it was testing before at 7000-8000 thanks in advance cali
  6. hi i opened up the cpu and lo and behold there was about an inch of brown crap on the fan and inside some tube with a fan. i cleaned it carefully and against advice used the vacum cleaner. i didnt hold it against anything..just sort of waved it around over the muck. i got about 95 % of the crap off it. closed it up and when i started it i thought it was not coming on. but it did. it was just really really quiet. what a difference. i mean it makes nooooo sound now. its quite nice actually. it was so loud before i could not talk on the phone near it because i couldnt hear anything. thanks for the advice. and really i am happy with it.
  7. hi This is my test result this morning. its way better. my questions... This pc is using wireless network adapter...when i do any tweaks or tests what do i choose? (i.e. when the options are cable dsl etc...) it is wireless and i am not sure if i put the numbers for the cable connection that i am getting the signal from or what? also. i have tried to change the mTU as the tweakster test recommened but no matter what i do the test keeps telling me to do that. how do i change it to 1500 and make it stick? ::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 7066 Kbps about 7.07 Mbps (tested with 12288 kB) Download Speed is:: 863 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 326 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Speed is:: 40 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Main) Test Time:: 2008/11/02 - 8:13am D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-XPGB05CAH U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-P04F8AOXE User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) [!]

  10. HI I know this is speed site. I have a ton of issues about that but i need to go through the sticky about what to do before posting. my problem now is that the CPU is revving all the time. the CPU is so loud. it sounds like the fan is always running or something. is there anything i can do to stop it? its a crappy Emachin w3507 Intel celeron D processor 352. I do feel it contributes to my speed issues because it when its revving everything slows down in relation to the loudness if that makes sense thanks cali

My device manager say the VGA is 82865G graphics controller --the chipset is 82865Gpepgv82848p processer to io controller -2570 what driver can i use to make this work?
  18. Hi. I recently got a new pc and this is the problem. I keep getting booted from the internet. chat programs suddenly go offline etc. I have a cable connection that then leads to a belkin router because my son's pc is catching the wireless connection from it. my pc with the problem/issues is hooked by a cable into the belkin wireless g router in one of the secondary ports. --confusing-- My question is: do i need to configure the network in xp for this connection or is it automatic. i am really sorry if my question is confusing. I am not really sure how else to ask. What should my settings in windows network connections be? thanks for any input, cali
