  1. Okay I'll post back after I have time to make all the changes,, I have a domain controller setup, so I'll need to take this machine out of the domain before I reboot and connect directly to the modem.. Thanks for the help so far, I really appreciate it.
  2. The pathping brought me back to the prompt, so I assumed it was done.. I re-did it though and I see what you mean.. weird that the other one stopped right after it showed the hops.. Unfortunately, connecting directly to the cable modem will take a bit of work.. I'll have to do that bit later if the following info does not shed any light. 3. Thanks for the advice and the welcome! Okay, I rmade the changes with cablenut and rebooted the PC.. I also recycled the power to the modem.. I did that a few times over the last 24 hours , but just to keep pace with your instructions, I did it again.. The download here was a lot better, but still way lower than it should be. :::.. I just upgraded to the Premium service yesterday, but these speeds are lower than what I should have gotten with even the basic service. I have been reading though the forums since last night looking for anything that would be pertinent to my situation, but I have not found anything. Any help from you guys would be much appreciated!
