  1. VanBuren - Many thanks for the clarifications - I'll go thru using CableNut and do some manual 'tweaking' in addition to your provided configuration files. At least for the time being, I'm finding a transfer rate that's closer to Comcast's throttled maximum values using the 67160 RWIN value...I'll do some more reading but, given the hour, it won't be tonight. By the way, DSLReports actually DOES provide an RWIN calculator...I've been using it for some time with good results: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/677 It sounds like you've got a LOT of experience with CableNut - given the suggested values that (at least for now) appear to be working well, are there other areas where some of the higher values should be adjusted? Thanks again for the in-depth explanation, I had no idea that XP SP2 made so many radical changes to the IP stack functionality. Color me one of the CableNut converted.
  2. VanBuren - I'm also a Comcast.net user looking to maximize my up and down transfer rates and I took a look at your CableNut configuration file and wanted to ask a question: One thing that I've heard consistently is that setting the RWIN too high can be counterproductive.
