I was prompted to join testmy.net due to an issue my new wireless ISP is having with upload. I live in the sticks and have been stuck with dial-up until last month when a local ISP put up a wireless tower within range of my home. So far, it's been a mixed experience, mostly bad. Download is great! Upload sux! My ISP just ordered a 900-928 MHz 500mW amplifier with N-Female connectors (I don't even know what that is or what it's supposed to do) after trying multiple solutions, none of which worked, to get upload to work consistently. They should be installing it tonight or tomorrow. I'm keeping fingers, eyes, arms, legs, toes.....everything I can....crossed. I landed on testmy.net trying to test upload and like other testing sites I've visited, download is 90-100% of what it should be but upload never even registers. Since I'm a work-at-home web designer who just moved my office back to the sticks from town where I had DSL, upload is very important to my business. Hello to all!
