  1. Hmm...I don't get it here. (not that it needs to be done, but it's odd that you are not pulling it up ....we are using XP right)??? lol

I mean, on your desktop you either doubleclick on My Computer so that the next window that pops up shows you your c: drive Icon (and other drive icons if you have them.

THEN you rightclick ON THE DRIVE ICON, select Properties, then "uncheck" the bottom statement about "Indexing" for that drive.....

OR -------> START, MY COMPUTER, (new page) Hard Disk Drives, (right click on your C: Drive and click on properties at the very bottom?) ---->now, at the very bottom of the window that just pooped up ....er I mean POPPED up, is where you want to uncheck the box that talks about Indexing for that Drive! (In the GENERAL TAB).

    Find it now?

    :)

*sorry I wasn't explicit enough ....major brain fades lately!!!!!

It won't show that box to uncheck if they ever checked the box to compress files to save disk space on that particular drive. That's probably why they aren't seeing it.  One of my drives has it but the other doesn't because of this. :) Hope this helps!

  2. I most than likely won't be around or be around so much this week,  so I just wanted to say Happy New Year to Everyone. Hope Everyone has a Safe & Happy one.  :) :)  BTW: Thanks CA3LE for the new site.  :)  I don't think that I ever thanked you.

  3. I don't see why you can't do it like that. You can also go to Xbox.com and you can set your Xbox up on wireless too. You have to buy something seperate to that but it explains everything to you at Xbox. Hope this helps, and if I'm wrong PLEASE enlighten me. :)

  4. Sorry for putting this in the wrong place to begin with. I just want ya'll to know that I appreciate all of the help earlier. Also Thanks for the quick response. Now I know why I really like this Site/Forum and I have been trying to help ya'll spread the word that this site is here. Again Thanks a lot !! :D:D

  6. Okay I installed a new harddrive in my puter tonight and the CD and DVD burners would only open up while the puter was bootin up but now the lights on them won't come on and neither of them will open. I have the jumpers set right and I switched them just to see and still nothin. Any Ideas?? The DVD burner is just now a month old, and the CD burner is approx: 1 -11/2 Any Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

  7. Hi dyslexic,

Make sure your prefetch folder is cleaned out too or that will slow you down too. This is what I did with cablenut. I picked the one with 5000/768 and then I've been playin around with the RWIN and the DefaultSend Window and this is what I get pretty much on a regular basics. So you may want to try that. BTW: I'm also with Cox and the same package as you..
