I'm trying to save few bucks on my total monthly bill. with comcast triple play (Internet - HD TV - phone service) it's about 145 a month, a savings of maybe??? 30 a month now... Bellsouth (AT&T) dropped their newsgroups, so that was the deciding factor for them... I use a dedicated news server now..I pay more, but I'm not feeding AT&T...

Hi all! I have just installed Windows 7, I am using the Firefox beta, and I have DSL Extreme 6.0..Linksys router wired and wireless I'm pretty much happy with the consistency of Bellsouth err AT&T internet speeds... But now they have dropped their newsgroups for the most part, and now I have a reason to save few bucks and try out Comcast, supposedly the 8meg speed with the 16meg powerboost is supposed to be installed here shortly. I hope my new speeds will be greater than DSL for large file downloads, we'll see...currently I can download a consistent 700Kbps.(24/7) Looking forward to sharing the experience with all..
