DDR2 is NOT YET fully implemented......it wont be fully implemented until socket M2 comes out for the new Opterons/Athlons x2

AMD64 is way fast. I have a socket 754, but my next rig will definitely have 939 pin architecture.
I try to build a new rig or update my current one every year. I'm going for a complete overhaul from the ground up this time.
Sometime in 2006, I think I'll be going with one of these:
AMD Athlon

I have 5 around the house but this is by far the best of them.
AMD 64 3700+ @ 2.8 for everyday on water cooling (thinking of selling and getting a dual core)
DFI SLI-DR motherboard
1 gig of OCZ VX for benching or 2x1gig patriot for everyday use
2x 74g raptors in raid 0
Nec 3540 DVD burner
PC Power and Cooling 510 Sli power supply
Case is a Koolance PC3-720BK
2x XFX 7800GTX (490/1300) in Sli
Audigy 2zs gamer sound card
Klipsch speakers
Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 24-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor
Oh and a floppy drive
Windows XP pro SP2/Windows 64bit for messing around/Linux
Got to love gaming on the 24" widescreen monitor but had to break down a buy a second 7800GTX to run smooth at 1920x1200 with all the eye candy turned up.
i smell bullshit......

I run the OCZ because it will oc much better than my crappy patriot will.
-
AMD Sempron 1.6Ghz stock speed running Overclocked at 2.4 ghz with an HTT speed of 750x2 = 1500 bus speed
Biostar 6100-M7 board with built in Nvidia 6100 GPU
Gigaram PC 3200 DDr400 running at 250 mhz
seagate barracuda 120 gb sata
epower puma II power supply
linkworld case with side window
runs at 28c at idle and 40c at full load
I bet this pc can keep up with half of you and your overpriced pentiums....brign it bitches
-
I know someone running a "fake" copy of XP and its perfectly fine.

Everything looks great, all retail products in origian OEM boxes. Good stuff, I would recommend www.newegg.com ANY day.

-

-
Yeah, I intend to buy a decent PCI-e gpu and another 512 stick when the money comes......
I think that will do waht I intend it to do very well, which is P2P/Internet/E-Mail/Occasional A/V Editing...

I am building myself a "budget" PC because I sold one of my cars and I cant take this Celeron 600 anymore.
Here is what I am going with:
BIOSTAR GeForce 6100-nForce4 Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813138266
AMD Sempron 2800 64 Bit CPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819104245
Gigaram 512 MB PC3200 (400MHz) RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820221005
ePower Puma II PSU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817101513
Linkworld Case:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811164040
I already have HDD, CD/RW/DVD-RW, monitor, all that other stuff.........
I think it will be a decent machine myself, and only cost $280 with the case and 3 extra fans.
