  1. AMD64 is way fast. I have a socket 754, but my next rig will definitely have 939 pin architecture.

I try to build a new rig or update my current one every year. I'm going for a complete overhaul from the ground up this time.

Sometime in 2006, I think I'll be going with one of these:

    AMD Athlon

  2. I have 5 around the house but this is by far the best of them.

AMD 64 3700+ @ 2.8 for everyday on water cooling (thinking of selling and getting a dual core)

    DFI SLI-DR motherboard

1 gig of OCZ VX for benching or 2x1gig patriot for everyday use

    2x 74g raptors in raid 0

    Nec 3540 DVD burner

PC Power and Cooling 510 Sli power supply

    Case is a Koolance PC3-720BK

    2x XFX 7800GTX (490/1300) in Sli

    Audigy 2zs gamer sound card

    Klipsch speakers

Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 24-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor

    Oh and a floppy drive

Windows XP pro SP2/Windows 64bit for messing around/Linux

Got to love gaming on the 24" widescreen monitor but had to break down a buy a second 7800GTX to run smooth at 1920x1200 with all the eye candy turned up.

    i smell bullshit......

  4. I am building myself a "budget" PC because I sold one of my cars and I cant take this Celeron 600 anymore.

Here is what I am going with:
