How do I port forward a modem?
  2. halo2

    udp and tcp

Well now I'm hooking my router back up so do I just forward those ports normally?

Yeah I do router, but I was doing that connection from modem to XBOX.

Hey everyone I play XBOX Live a lot.I did a packet test for my XBOX and the results were terrible, only 15/25 packets received. I talked with an XBOX live support guy and he told me to open up some ports (tcp and udp). By the way the ports I need to open are udp: 88, 3074 and tcp: 3074. Any help would be awesome.

How do I check my upstream levels? Also 2% packet loss shouldn't affect my performance all that much when I'm only getting 15 kB max. As for the 309 ms jump I have no idea why it wouldv'e gone up like that.

I am running through a router, but I have tried just a straight connection and it didn't help. Yes, I have updated spybot and AVG anti-virus running. Tried a brand new cat 6 cable (by direct connection) and it didn't help, the original cables appear to fine anyways. I did the cablenut settings, the ccleaner, the connection sp2 tweak from 10-50 and I have all the latest windows updates. I have a Toshiba modem (thinking of buying a Motorola surfboard) and the 192.168.100.1 doesn't work.

I have Cox as my internet provider and my upload is registered at 523kb. I have never gotten anything remotely close to this number, I have tried looking in the tweaks section and I have used van burens cablenut settings. :::..
