kryptofonic Posted December 28, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 28, 2005 um ok my cable modem is a webstar by scientific atlantis.i was looking into buying a $60 motorolla modem but never got around to it. as for programs.....none ... i do not use any programs or tweaking programs for my computer....but ......i am running cable into my modem which is then sent to my wireless g d-link router.its a 2.4GHz g54 wireless router($60.00) and it is connected to my ps2(online socom 3) and pc at the same time but like i said im not using the wireless feature both my pc and ps2 are running ethernet cords.which i know are brand new ethernet cords...and is getting really low connection speeds...i will find my ISP's Caps for you...ASAP Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kryptofonic Posted December 29, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 29, 2005 yea ive been running steady 4.5-4.8mbps ....i think its was my ethernet....whoops..lol well i will read the post just to see if i can increase my speed futher but its just i was really shocked wheni was running half my speed lol ...when i pluged my ethernet in fully there was a huge difference.i might even buy a new ethernet ..i replace my cords about every 7/8 months...is that good to replace cords that often? thanks for your help comp,your great at this stuff. I know the rj45e is suppse to be the latest and I was thinking myself about getting those. I have a Dell P3 and it runs fast too but not that fast.
