cdf216 Posted January 4, 2006 CID Share Posted January 4, 2006 OK let's do some troubleshooting. 1. Are you using a router? 2. If yes, are you connected wired or wireless? Are there any other computers connected? 3. If No, are you connected to modem via ethernet or USB? 4. Are you using a proxy service? BTW you are having a serious problem with ping times here's what a normal ping to testmy looks like: Tracing route to testmy.net [67.18.179.85] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 9 ms 15 ms 6 ms 10.102.128.1 3 9 ms 7 ms 7 ms gig1-0.tampflerl-rtr2.tampabay.rr.com [65.32.15. 1] 4 26 ms 31 ms 26 ms pos6-0-OC-192.tampflerl-rtr4.tampabay.rr.com [65 .32.8.137] 5 10 ms 8 ms 9 ms so-9-1.car2.Tampa1.Level3.net [4.79.174.1] 6 8 ms 7 ms 8 ms ae-1-52.mp2.Tampa1.Level3.net [4.68.104.33] 7 129 ms 30 ms 37 ms ae-0-0.bbr2.Dallas1.Level3.net [64.159.1.110] 8 42 ms 49 ms 36 ms ae-23-54.car3.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.68.122.111] 9 32 ms 32 ms 31 ms 4.78.221.146 10 68 ms 41 ms 60 ms vl31.dsr02.dllstx3.theplanet.com [70.85.127.30] 11 31 ms 48 ms 67 ms vl42.dsr02.dllstx4.theplanet.com [70.85.127.91] 12 89 ms 79 ms 92 ms gi1-0-2.car17.dllstx4.theplanet.com [67.18.116.8 5] 13 31 ms 54 ms 33 ms 85.67-18-179.reverse.theplanet.com [67.18.179.85 ] Trace complete

cdf216 Posted January 4, 2006 CID Share Posted January 4, 2006 then it's a hardware problem that Roadrunner tech support will probably fix for you even if they have to send a repairman out to your house. Would like to see your results after the fix the issue though.
