asubaseball727 Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 My sister got a virus @ college so I guess the computer support students deleted everything on her computer. They then installed Xp professional ( from home edition ) and now whenever the computer boots, you have to choose between the 2 even though home does not work at all. How can I make professional to always start w/o it asking? Thanks if you can help

TheHalf Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 Right click My Computer icon->click on properties->click on advanced->click on settings (Start Up & Recovery)->under system startup, click on edit. Now notepad opens and here you want to delete (Under Operating Systems) XP Home. But to be sure, copy and paste and show here. I'll show you exactly what to delete. Then you would click Save As.
