Guest mayanking Posted February 3, 2006 CID Share Posted February 3, 2006 Dear friends~! I have a Microsoft router MN-700 and an internet security camera(DSC900, D-Link product, www.dlink.com). I can see a picture inside home network( eg: http://192.168.x.x) but could not see out side network. I don't know how to configure MN-700 for port forwarding. To see a picture outside the IP address should be like this form: http:// wan ip address:port number The security camera's default port is 80 for web server and 8481 for transferring images. (Do I need websever phone number here? what is it used for? then). I don't know how to apply these two numbers to MN-700 router. Please go to http://www.webdesignq.com/mn700/ to see my question in detail. What is port range? how can I configure it? The only numbers given to me by the camera are 80 and 8481. Hope you have an clease answer for me. Thank you very much. Peter
richcornucopia Posted February 3, 2006 CID Share Posted February 3, 2006 Easiest thing for you to do is probably to go to portforward.com choose your router and it should walk you through step by step.
Swimmer Posted February 5, 2006 CID Share Posted February 5, 2006 Your ISP might block port 80.. so you might have to trigger a port to mock 80..
