stevcha Posted March 11, 2006 CID Share Posted March 11, 2006 Hi Guys! I wanted to know if there have been any known issues with the Linksys WRT54GSV4 and FIOS connections? I've had my FIOS installed for over a year now but had to swap out my old Linksys Wireless router with this one a few months back. When I originally had my old router connected to FIOS I would average 13-14m download and 1.99m upload. Last night and this morning I decided to check my speeds and I would average anywhere from 3m - 8m download. Here are my recent results: ::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 3873 Kbps about 3.9 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 473 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (main) Test Time:: 2006/03/11 - 9:11am Bottom Line:: 69X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 2.16 sec Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 6.328 seconds to complete Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 72.06 % of your hosts average (162.234) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-JTN5S8XL7 :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 5185 Kbps about 5.2 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 633 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (main) Test Time:: 2006/03/11 - 9:11am Bottom Line:: 93X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 1.62 sec Tested from a 5983 kB file and took 9.453 seconds to complete Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Diagnosis: 90% + Okay : running at 96.9 % of your hosts average (162.234) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-3VQL8SG5R I downloaded Cablenut and used the 15/2 Fios Config file but still no luck. Also, the above results are from my PC that is wired to the router. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

stevcha Posted March 11, 2006 Author CID Share Posted March 11, 2006 Has anyone used: http://myspeed.visualware.com/ When I run the test from that site I consistently get 13 - 14m down, 1.8 - 1.9 up.
