Tomer Posted April 12, 2006 CID Share Posted April 12, 2006 I have two webcams in my house, and I would like to connect them to other computers in my house and be able to view the feed from my main computer via the home wireless network. I can always remotely access the computer, and load the camera software via there and see the feed on the other computer [remotely], but than the other computer will see my viewing it, I would like to be able to view it without others knowing. Anybody got any ideas? I tried sharing the shortcut for the software via file share and opening it on mine, but didn't work, any other ideas? Thanks very much - Tomer
Swimmer Posted April 12, 2006 CID Share Posted April 12, 2006 I think this is what you want.. http://www.visiongs.de/ makes the computer a physical server for the webcam stream.. Then if you wanted to you could also view them remotely.. You would need static IPs on the webcam servers and most likely you would have to change the port number for one of the cameras.. I have never used this software.. but it does look easy. There is also an open source version.. but it didnt have any screenshots.. here is another one.. http://www.theill.com/conquercam/screenshots.asp looks like it gives you a little bit more control over the camera itself..
